2008 GMJGF Junior Presentation Day
The APC Storage Solutions team have taken out the GMJGF Junior Presentation day. Daniel Jo (RPGC) and Jordan Lambert (JCC) joined the boys from APC Storage Solutions John Rayner and Sean Prosser to score 15-up in 4BBB Par format. They narrowly defeated another one of the sponsors team in Bridgestone Golf who had 14-up.
The Graham Marsh Junior Golf Foundation would also like to congratulate Whitney Hillier (JCC) and Brady Watt (SCCC) on winning the 2008 Junior Golfers of the Year.

Greg Norman Junior Masters
Jamie Warman (GGC) has come agonisingly close to winning the Greg Norman Junior Masters in Queensland after losing in a playoff to Cameron Smith (QLD). Warman had rounds of 70.68.71.76 but still managed to win the Boys 17 years and Under age group.
The WA pairing of Warman and Jayde Panos (LKCC) finished 2nd behind South Australia by one stroke in the teams section. After rounds of 74.78.79.82, Panos was able to finish 6th in her respective age group.
Other WA players, Daniel Hoeve (KGC) and Angie Yang (RFGC) also faired ok. Hoeve had rounds of 76.69.79.69 to also finish 6th in his age group, while Yang finished 14th.

Smarter than Smoking Lake Karrinyup Sub-Junior Championship

Zoe Kemp (MCC) has produced one of the rounds of her life to win the Lake Karrinyup Sub-Junior Championship. Kemp shot a 1-over 75 to win by 3 strokes from Whitney Harvey (MGGC). In the Boys section, Lake Karrinyup had a good day with Lukas Michel winning with a 74. Luke Mills was runner-up on a countback from Tim Hart (JCC) on 77.

2008 Newman & Brooks Tournament of Champions

Daniel Jo (RPGC) and Whitney Hillier (JCC) have take out the Newman & Brooks Tournament of Champions held at Lake Karrinyup Country Club. Jo had rounds of 76 and 70 to win by two strokes from Brady Watt (SCCC), whilst Hillier had a more comfortable win after her rounds of 73 and 76 helped her win by four strokes from Jayde Panos (LKCC). 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic
The Graham Marsh Junior Golf Foundation is calling for volunteers to help out at the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic which is being held at The Vines Golf & Country Club from February 19 to 22
There are a number of positions available for you to choose from. Please look at the Information Package for further details

2008 Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship
Brady Watt (SCCC) has taken out the Australian Final of the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship at the Heritage Golf & CC in Victoria. Watt shot 2 under to win by 1 stroke to fellow West Aussie Kerrod Gray (JCC). Watt and Gray teamed up with Jayde Panos (LKCC) and Whitney Harvey (MGGC) for Western Australia to take out the State Team title of the Tournament.
Both boys have now been selected to represent Australia at the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship final in China.

Smarter than Smoking News
"Good News" The prevelence of smoking among students aged 12 to 17 years decreased between 1984 and 2005 significantly. The decline has been particularly sharp since 1999, with the prevalence of current smoking amongst the total sample of 12 to 17 year-old school children, falling from 17% in 1999 to 10% in 2002 and 6% in 2005.
